A new experience today!
My wife, my mother-in-law and I went to visit Lydia in the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility tonight. We got there a little bit after six pm and visited for an hour and a half. It was pretty simple to find the prison and the guards were pleasant. They had all these rules; you can share candy but don't drink from the same bottle of pop, don't hug too long, once you leave you can't get back in.
My mother-in-law signed all three us in on the form, her name on one line and my wife and I on the next line. I asked the guards if that was okay and they said yes. I told them I did not want to get kicked out of prison for doing something wrong. At least they laughed.
Lydia now has a trustee job and was wearing the new tennis shoes they gave her. She was quite talkative and was glad to see us. We did surprise her by coming but did not give any advanced warning. She call us but we can't' call her.
So we will see when our next visit is.
